These strategic priorities are being delivered through an action plan that is being taken forward through partnerships with a variety of organisations that include individual forest sector companies, Scottish Forestry, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, South of Scotland Enterprise, Edinburgh Napier University, Forest Research and the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre. Where necessary, we will create working groups from relative representatives from the supply chain and beyond to address specific opportunities and/or ongoing themes.
Currently there are two active working groups focussing on “Developing a skilled workforce for the future” and “Increasing the use of wood fibre in construction”. Other groups will be created as and when necessary.
